Welcome to Dementia Dialogues!
Francesca Alonso
Founder and Director
Hello, I’m Francesca, but please, call me Frankie. With over 15 years of experience as a Medical Speech-Language Pathologist, my career has been a journey filled with empathy and compassion, particularly in working with degenerative diseases like dementia in older adults. I’ve had the privilege of sitting across from countless families, providing counseling on dementia and sharing proven communication strategies.
In addition to my clinical work, I co-own a senior in-home care company where I’ve dedicated myself to training caregivers to provide the utmost care and understanding. I understand the profound challenges and emotional strain faced by families with loved ones living with dementia. I’ve been there to hear their pain, confusion, and the weight they carry.
It’s these personal experiences that motivated me to create Dementia Dialogues. I recognized a significant gap in our healthcare system. Families wanted to be advocates for their loved ones, yet they often found themselves overwhelmed, unsure of where to seek help or who to turn to. Dementia Dialogues was born to fill that void.
