Welcome to Dementia Dialogues! I’m Francesca Alonso, a passionate speech language pathologist with over 12 years of experience working in geriatrics. Having dedicated my career to helping individuals with degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, I am thrilled to bring my expertise to this online platform.
At Dementia Dialogues, our mission is to provide families with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the challenges of dementia with grace and delight. Through my work in acute care settings and direct experience with individuals facing degenerative diseases, I have witnessed firsthand the impact that compassionate care can have on their well-being.
I believe that treating those with dementia requires a holistic approach rooted in empathy and understanding. Our courses at Dementia Dialogues cover a wide range of topics, from understanding the nature of dementia to developing effective communication strategies. By fostering an environment of respect and compassion, we empower families to create meaningful connections with their loved ones.
In addition to our educational resources, I am also a co-owner of a senior in-home care business. This allows us to provide caregivers who are not only well-trained but also deeply committed to promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for seniors in their own homes.

By combining my extensive experience in acute care and working with those facing degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, I bring a unique perspective to Dementia Dialogues. My goal is to ensure that families receive the support and guidance they need to provide the best possible care for their loved ones.
